About the Author

Gwen Mariani lives in Waterford, Connecticut where she is inspired by her love for animals and nature. Her novel The Growing-Tree was a 2019 Best Book Awards finalist by American Book Fest for Inspirational Fiction. This is Gwen’s first children’s book. While she hopes to connect and inspire others through all of her creative and spiritual work, Lizzi Light is a whimsical character that speaks to the adventurous spirits in all of us. Amy Avery Smith is a life long illustrator. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a BA in Film Production from the University of Rhode Island. She currently resides in Colorado with her husband and her two dogs.
