The much-anticipated follow-up to the National Indie Excellence Award-winning Bow Tie Boone is here!
Boone is a little dog with a big heart … and a bright red bow tie! He doesn’t walk like most dogs—he zooms along in his special wheelchair, spreading joy wherever he goes. As a therapy dog, Boone has a way of helping others because he knows exactly what it feels like to be left out, lonely, and scared. Whether he’s helping a young student find their “brave voice” or comforting weary travelers or anxious veterans, Boone’s mission is to bring courage to those who need it most.
One sunny afternoon, Boone’s mission hits close to home when a tiny, whiskered nose pops out from under his backyard fence. Meet Gary, a little groundhog who is “super shy” and spooks easily at new things and loud sounds.
Boone knows that friendships can’t be rushed. With incredible patience, he begins leaving daily surprises for his new neighbor. Through muddy puddles and shared toys and treats, Boone shows Gary that the world isn’t so scary after all, especially when you have a friend by your side.
Bow Tie Boone Meets Gary the Shy Groundhog is a heartwarming tale for kids of all ages about empathy, the power of patience, and the gentle steps it takes to overcome shyness and find a new friend!
